3. Questions and Comments
Audience comments are always welcome as agenda items are discussed. The School Committee has set aside fifteen minutes on this agenda to enable members of the audience to raise questions and make comments on any matter of general concern that is not on the agenda. Individual speakers shall be limited to three minutes. Speakers are reminded that the meeting is being televised and are asked to respect the privacy rights of others. Comments against any individual are not allowed by Policy #3.7.5.

6. Unfinished Business
6.1 To act as appropriate on the proposed Budget Calendar for FY19.

7. New Business
7.1 To authorize the Foster School Building Committee to expend up to $30,000 from the Master Plan capital appropriation of $45,000 for the purpose of evaluating the suitability of the site located at 55 Downer Ave for a project that may involve a new building or a remodel/renovation of the existing school.

7.2 To receive the East School Improvement Plan for 2017-2018 and an update of the 2016-2017 plan progress.

7.3 To receive the GPA Update Report and HTSS Survey Information and Schedule.

7.4 To receive an end of cycle update of the Superintendent’s 2016-2017 Goals.

7.5 To receive information about KnowledgeLink Exchange Program (short term exchange with China).

7.6 To discuss and act on a proposal from the Director of Business and Support Services, John Ferris, to add an additional bus to the HPS fleet to be acquired via a three-year lease with Dattco that specifies a used bus at a cost of approximately $14,000 per year.

7.7 To receive the homeschool application for Lavinia (grade 5), Christian (grade 3) and Eloise (grade 1) Claydon for the 2017-2018 school year.

7.8 To receive notification of the appointment of Stephen Henderson, HMS paraeducator, effective September 5, 2017.

8. Other items as may not reasonably be known 48 hours in advance of the meeting

10. Adjournment to Executive Session, not to return to open session, for the purpose of discussing collective bargaining with the Administrators Association and the Food Services Union, the public discussions of which may be detrimental to the Committee’s bargaining position.
